I just started my first semester of college, and when we went shopping for the decorations for my dorm, I wanted something to hang on my walls. The dorm rules are very strict that you can’t make any holes in the walls, so my mom bought me a great Marilyn Monroe poster that I was able to tape on to the wall. It’s the one where she is on a balcony looking out over the city, and it reminds me of how I feel starting college so far away from home. My friends have commented on how good my dorm room looks, and I like that I am able to make it feel like home.
