The electric car technology is being pumped up all around the world. Car Forums are always on the look out for new ideas in the auto market. Here is one idea that could really boost electric car sales. Australian engineers have developed a plug-in hybrid electric car that not only generates power but can pump it back into the grid, potentially reducing running costs. They have made a prototype that they hope could be massed peroduced by the big companies like GM and Toyota. Taking a standard 2006 Toyota Prius, engineers in Sydney, Australia converted it to plug-in, and then installed additional batteries in the back so it can store electricity, which can then be transferred back into the power grid.
