Credit Crunch Hits Motor Industry
July 3, 2009 3:47 am BusinessThe credit crunch is hitting the motor industry badly. It’s been revealed that Jaguar Landrover in the UK has asked its workers to defer their salaries until the end of the month to help cash flow problems. The company wants to pay workers at the end of each month, and if they agree they will be paid an additional £200 bonus for doing so. Jaguar Landrover has also renegotiated payment terms with its suppliers so that they now have 60 days rather than 45 days to make payments. It just shows how hard the industry has been hit of late.
