My uncle works in a foundry that has a machine shop division. He was telling me they do a lot of machining aircraft parts. The foundry makes many investment prototypes and then sends them to get the final machining before they are sent out of plating or painting. There are a lot of steps that need to be completed before the final machining can be done. I like my uncle to tell me about the work there because I find it very interesting and I like learning how aircraft parts are made. They also do a lot of testing on the parts.
