The Side Effects of Gabapentin

8:12 am Health

One must take the necessary precaution when taking Gabapentin samples. Aside from the widely known dizziness, nausea and vomiting side effects, gabapentin can also cause peripheral edema. What is peripheral edema? It is a condition that causes the hands and feet to swell. Swelling may take weeks to subside as soon as the initial gabapentin treatment is administered. It may also become painful and bearable for some people. It is strongly advised that as soon as the early symptoms of peripheral edema become visible, the patient should see his or her doctor immediately. The doctor can then prescribe a lower dose or a stop of the treatment.
