After a fair bit of agonizing, we ended up going with the Zojirushi BBCCX20 as our new bread machine. We’ve had the Breadman for five and a half years until it gave out a couple of months ago. It’d been originally bought (the Breadman) as a gift for my wife after I’d become bored with making bread by hand. The much heralded cathartic effects of kneading bread are overblown in my opinion. After the Breadman died a premature death our original thoughts were that we’d replace it with another Breadman. But, after some consideration of how much, as well as the kind of bread we make, we decided we should take a look at some other machines – hence our discovery and subsequent purchase of the Zojirushi BBCCX20 home bakery supreme bread machine.
