I was recently hired as a dispatcher for a local warehouse plant. The human resource manager said she hired me because she liked the fact that I had already worked at a plant so I understood the requirements. When she hired me she said that I would still need to go through plant training although it didn’t have to be as extensive. She even mentioned that hiring me would save the company a few hundred in training because I already went through most of the courses at trade school. I was just happy to have the new job and to be receiving a paycheck.
