Learning With Computers

My son would rather watch TV than read books. Being a book-lover, I find this very frustrating. When I was a child, I learned a lot of things from books. With my son turning away from books, I worried about how to supplement the learning he gets from school. A friend introduced me first to Encarta. My son loved it. Its audiovisual format captured my son’s interest. There are also quizzes and games available for children. And I then noticed that my son is spending more time in reading what’s in the computer rather than in front of the TV. I also found other programs that would interest him. Now, he is reading more and is starting to appreciate books. In fact, he just the Harry Potter book I gave him.
